AUSTIN, Texas -- A Texas high school teacher is fighting for her teaching license after her partner posted topless pictures of her on the Internet.
Before that, school officials in Austin thought Tamara Hoover was an excellent art teacher. However, after the photos surfaced on flickr.com, she was told she had become ineffective and was fired. http://www.local6.com/education/9386537/detail.html

I do pencil sketches, so I have to practice from people.
(Clothed preferably as that also gives me practice with shading folds of cloth rather than folds of flubb.. er.. skin. Costumed would be even better if close to the idea in my head.)
I'm terrible with photography.

Self inflicted hanging depending on which photoset from Celesta Danger you see.
(Celesta is Miss Hoovers girlfriend. And the one who took the pics.)

"That morning a fellow teacher was talking poorly about me to her class. A student said, 'Well, if you really dont like Ms. Hoover, you should check out the website she is on.' . . . So she told the student to pull it up. He did so in front of a class full of students." I believe that (in California, anyway) it is against the law for one teacher to besmirch the name of another. If not against the law, it is unprofessional.

When people I knew were models for college classes, the teachers preferred the heavier women, because then the students would have to attempt to draw what they
saw, rather than what they
imagined.
There's a big difference between drawing an idealized nude woman, and drawing a 30-year-old, 200 lbs., nude woman. If you produce a representative image of the latter, you can really draw.
I've done some good photos of cats, but babies don't pose as nicely!

Precisely.
And yes, babies tend to move like washing machine agitators with arms and legs when you try to take a pic.
Or they sit still, mostly, but they look everywhere in a constant skull movement not conducive to good useful photography.
*chuckle*

She signed a contract, and she violated the terms of that contract. If the school board decides to enforce the contract, they have every right to do so.
This has nothing to do with tolerance, lesbianism or anything else.

Babies thrash, unless they're asleep. Or they're spitting up.
Cats, on the other hand, are in "picture mode" almost every waking hour, and if they slip, they resent you for seeing them :-).
With landscapes, you just have to frame and focus correctly, and have the technology to keep your waterfalls from getting blurry.

"Zero tolerance" = brainless. If the pictures were private and not meant to shown for profit/outside the relationship/etc. then she shouldn't be fired. The question at hand is whether she remains an effective teacher given the photos. I'll leave that to the local school board. I don't think that any woman taking her clothes off in front of a camera can expect much privacy in the digital/internet age.

Now there's a good pic.
"Hey, the baby is finally sitting still! *Snap, BRAAAAP!* Oh no!"
LOL.
Most cats will pose and act cute for the camera, but I've run across some that were of the mind "take the pic and I will eat you while you sleep".

Darksheare says the more revealing photos have been pulled. We can assume she bared her mammary apparatus, such as it is.
