"How do you kill your animals?" - to which Schindler coolly responded, "With a needle.

LOL!

Damn, no! That looks likes like something that was at the Boston Lobster Pride Parade, with it's weird white boa thing. I go for red lobster, boiled crabs and raw oysters staright-up. Good food.

I guess the folks in Canada will have to buy the lobsters and crabs that were deshelled and gutted while still alive and then the meat quick frozen...quite a victory for peta, no?

What a joke this crap is.

I know this is in Canada, but my tagline applies...

What gets me about Peta, is they are always protesting humans. When are they going to start protesting bears, lions, sharks, jackals, snakes, dogs, cats, buzzards etc etc... I mean lions for example aren`t what I would call too compassionate when it comes to killing. They just rip the hell out of an animal, even start eating the damn thing before it`s even fully dead. Why doesn`t Peta demand lions eat tofu?

You may want to check out Whole Foods stock over the last 15 years.

I don't think it would indicate spineless business practices.

KRAMER: Hey, hey, hey! Look at what I got!

GEORGE: Hey! Wow, the K-Man!
JERRY: You got lobster for everybody?

KRAMER: Yeah, and they're fresh! Right out of the ocean.

GEORGE: This is fantastic. Man, what a weekend. Swimming, lobster for dinner...

KRAMER: I know, it's great. And I saw Jane topless.

wow. A rising stock price = ...what, integrity? puhleeze.

it indicates a successful fad, and skill at spinning bad business decisions into "positions" that appease one's particular audience, among other things. I do call that spineless. Selling out, in fact.

Expect great future sellouts from the Whole Foods crowd. Then expect them to sell out their shareholders, when it suits them to.

No problem...in Houston the best and freshest seafood of "ALL" types is found the the better oriental markets....

Everything from live crabs, lobster, frogs, ell, various fish...and many things I have never seen before in my life.

When I ask what it is they just say, "Good for you...you eat...you like....buy now...all gone tonight...

OK, I'll take a dozen...I'm hungry.

this isn't about PETA. This is about whole foods not being able to market lobsters well, according one expert in the trade (see the NYT article last week). whole foods spins its failure to market lobsters profitably as a "humane" action. Fool if you believe it.

You can bet they'd be mute on the point if they were making 500% on each crustacean.

Seriously, a lobster has about as much cognative thought as a fish or a grasshopper.

Less than a fish, about the same as a grasshopper.

I heard a scientist of some kind on TV talking about this, he said that a lobster's nervous system is not developed well enough to feel pain. They feel sensations, but not pain as we do. I wonder how they know that, do they stick a lobster with a pin and them ask him if it hurt?

Actually, I remember reading somewhere recently that lobsters are closely related to cockroaches. How about a nice broiled Maine marine cockroach with lemon juice and drawn butter, sound yummy?
