Thank you all for your kind words, obligatory congratuations, snarky comments and a few utterly random observations. The li'l one, mom and I are back home and intruducing the cats to their replacement. Now we have to plan the baptism, college and daycare during football games. Y'know, the important stuff.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!

Nothing you have ever experienced will be as wonderful and sweet as when that little girl, resting in your arms, looks into your face and smiles. Life gets no better.

My second just turned 6 months old. I had no idea I could love anyone or anything this much.

If the doctor starts murmuring, "I wish I could quit you" in the midst of one, kick him like a horse.

Or, during the exam, you notice he's got both hands on your shoulders.

My daughter is about to turn five. She knows the latest fashions, latest dances, has a veeeeery quick wit, and knows she has me wrapped around her finger. When she was about 2 1/2 she had my credit cards and a few 20s out of my wallet. I playfully asked her who's money she thought she had. She laughed and told me it was her money, she was going shopping. I gave her the Dad-look and asked in a deeper tone who's money...and she put it back in my wallet. I laughed. But she kept playing with the credit cards. I interupted her and asked who owned the credit cards.

"Oh...these are MINE." She responded with a dead serious look. Laughing nervously, I pressed and asked who paid the bill. She said, "You do. But these are mine."

Going on five and she knows this much already??!!!! Good luck to you. It took my daughter until 8 yrs. to wake me up one morning to ask for my credit card #. She was trying to order something off of TV. I did, of course laugh but had quite a conversation with her about it.

I'd give advice on the baptism, college plans and daycare, but I haven't turned into my ex-mother-in-law yet. ;-D
