Great game and surprisingly American team was better in my opinion. The referee was very good as well, he didnt make any mayor mistakes.

"the only problem is that they only need a tie to advance, whereas the Czechs need a win to assure themselves of advancing"
Exactly.
So the Czechs are going to fight like wounded tigers to win that match.
And Italy wasn't very impressive today either.
So this group is till quite open.

true. It baffles me how forwards are so consistently fooled into going offsides by the trap. I guess that just shows how people who play D like me are superior. have a good one.

DeMarcus was not hustling. The announcer was correct.

I think the reason most Americans don't care for soccer is that they never have seen a game where they have some emotional capital invested, like when the US plays. Once you experience a game like today, you're hooked.
That's why I think if the US should ever reach the semis or the Finals, most of the country will come on board, as talk about the US team starts permeating the water cooler. Because those people will finally get to experience the thill of rooting for their team to win.

It was.
Detta er VM :-)
The game was not pretty as a picure, but tension, drama, and heroics.
Great stuff.
Hopefully we can play a part next time :-)

I can't criticize any American player with the result and 10 men to 9.
Would have liked more runs from Beasley but still no criticism.
Not today.
All hail Team USA!!!!

So true. Beasley is the type of player who needs to put the ball into space and just run by somebody in a 1 on 1 situation, which was especially called for at the end of this game. He just doesn't have the technical skills to beat people and gives up possession way too easily.

Beware of trolls. Especially Uruguay ones and members of the ref's payoff association.
