My usually low-pressure job(m-thurs) was NOT so good this week. I told you all that the bosses wife was miffed with me last week, after the Zarquai incident, and the fact that I defended Bush, the war, our military, and did not have and "open mind" to things like gay marriage and abortion.
Well that carried through to this week.
Me and her did NOT have a lot to say to each other this week. Usually, she is quite nice to me, to the point of too nice.
Not this week. It has been very tense between us.

Everyone send me hugs and kisses...I just slammed my finger in a drawer. I'm bleeding all over my keyboard!
I don't think I should do any more housework tonight. It hurts too much!

Something similar happened between me and my primary co-worker around the last election. It got to the point where we were hardly speaking. But since we work in the same office, we had to agree to disagree, and pretty much avoid talking controversial politics. Now we get along fine again.

Too bad that tension exists now. It may get better but you are the one who will be walking on egg shells. Maybe this is a signal to be looking for other opportunities..
any chance you can start working on your own?

Without wearing tin foil maybe she was hoping for something more than a working relationship and when you made your moral views known she knew she would not get anywhere.
So maybe the coolness is not just politically motivated she may feel miffed.

It's a shame we cannot disagree anymore, it seems like it is so personal, partisan whatever you want to call it, where it gets to the point to where each side sees each other as being heretic, seen as a monster, given the cold shoulder, to even downright hate and distrust. This ain't healthy for our society and country and I fear one day we will Balkanize and rip apart. It's a shame this mentality started in the 1960s and we are seeing the result of it now. It is a vicious cycle that needs to be stopped, I just wish some would come to our senses and see we have to fight this evil in the world.
