Lethal Weapon 2 was cool.
Die Hard 2 was cool.
Major League 2 & 3 were bad and worse
The Road Warrior?
That was a great film. Of course that was years ago and I was also a lot younger.
No 'Highlander 2'? This list is highly suspect.
Y'all need in on this.
Superman II was also a sequel that was better than its predecessor.
(Just on principle, mind you. A story that never ends logically has no need of a sequel.)

I thought Toy Story 2 was better than the first.
Where is Major League 2 and 3?
Star Trek 10 (I think, the one with the weird people who stapled their faces). That killed the franchise.
Is the Basic Instinct - II out yet?
HOW BAD IS IT: No one knows, no one watched it.
Saw 2 was pretty good. The acting blew though.
I gave a pass to Ep I: Menace. My expectations were low for it -- it was the first George Lucas script in years, and after over two decades of Star Wars being an integral part of American pop culture, there could only be so many surprises.
OTOH, Ep II: Clones was a total loss to me. Of all the actors who would have given their eye teeth to play Anakin Skywalker, we got Hayden Christiansen, one of the worst actors in the world galaxy. I was so disappointed I was wondering if I should wait until video for Episode III: Sith if Christiansen was still cast as Anakin. After the announcement Lucas was so beholden to Christiansen he was changing the end of Ep VI: Jedi, I decided to lower my expectations again, just accept that Hayden was going to suck, and pray the rest of the flick made up the difference.
Here's what I wrote hours after seeing Ep III: Sith:
The only reason I would have done anything but totally ignore this past Oscar telecast would be to see Ian McDiarmid win Best Supporting Actor for his performance as Palpatine/Sidious. He wasn't even nominated, so I didn't watch. I am happy that he won a Tony Award last Sunday. I didn't even know that he was up for one.
One last thing; I saw Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of The Sith Friday night. IMHO, it was very good. It might have been excellent if an actual actor had played Anakin Skywalker, and not the execrable Hayden Christiansen. It's to George Lucas' credit that the film worked despite putting a high school drama-quality performer in the starring role. I gotta think that McGregor, McDiarmid, and Jackson were thinking to themselves, "George, thanks for the gig, but JEEZ! I gotta share a scene with a guy who flunked out of William Shatner Acting School and Karaoke Bar?"
Bill Clinton Part II (1996 - 2000) Sucked (no pun intended but fitting).
The Trial of Billy Jack.
Worst sequel ever.
Worst movie ever. Ever. No competition.
Caddyshack 2
'Nuff said.
I was just thinking about this earlier.
Conan the Barbarian -- great movie. Beauty, fun, action.
Conan the Destroyer -- ay, yi yi. What a horrid mess. Nothing.
Also, I agree about Alien 3. We don't count it.
It'd be fun to do a list of series in which the sequel is better than the first movie. I'd nominate Road Warrior, as I've never been able to stick with Mad Max for more than a few minutes.
Also Evil Dead 2.

I saw this movie about a bus that had to SPEED around a city, keeping its SPEED over fifty, and if its SPEED dropped, it would explode! I think it was called "The Bus That Couldn't Slow Down."
