Argentina blew that stat out of the water!
But the last games from Germany, England, and Sweden were so very similar.
Did Mexico just hit the woodwork?
Yes they did, and this will be another scoreless tie.
Mexico does NOT want to finish second in the group and face Argentina. They would have a prayer against Holland, but against Argentina they'd be roadkill.
seemingly not. Angolan keeper has to be man of the match...
And the Angolans are going nuts :-)
In all probability Angola are more likely than Mexico to go into the last 16. So there will be an African side in the last 16 after all...
No.
Argentina infact helped that stat.
They scored 50 percent of their goals today within the last 15 ;-)
SWEEET!!!!!
Mexico isn't out of the woods yet. They have to play a very good Portugal team, and if Angola can put a few on the Iranians, Mexico could be going home.
Sorry scratch that last statement. Wasn't thinking. They would need to beat Iran by a clear margin. Still, it's possible...
Iran is a better candidate to advance than Angola.
I would like to see Angola advance, but I REALLY don't want Iran to advance.
If Mexico lose 1-0 or 2-0 to Portugal and Angola beat Iran 2-0 or 1-0 respectively, then Angola goes through and Mexico goes home.
I think I'm right in saying that at least. Mexico GD +2 at present and Angola -1...
I think Angola is possibl a better side than Iran...
Angola in the last 16? Are you drinking or did your early stash of weed arrive?
Why is it so inconceivable, Mexico is an ok team, but they aren't that great. Portugal could wipe the field with them.
And I think Portugal would be motivated to get their former colony into the final 16.
Well best ever played of all time, no. But the most impressive display in the tournament with even 11 a side and no ref nonsense, yes.
Argentina did not get a bonus penalty/red card for half the game to distort the outcome.
They did it against a solid defensive squad so they are a favorite, no doubt.
I'll get this right eventually. Angola need to beat Iran by at least 2 and Mexico need to lose to Portugal by at least two!
It's past 1 in the morning here in Moscow and I should be in bed!
I think you needs one goal larger differential unfortunately, due the number of goals scored by Mexico.
Unless Angola wins 4-3 or something :-)
Completely forgot about that. Yeah, build the wall and Viva Angola.
