Some would argue that Northern Mexico is practically abandoned... they would say it's a disgrace.
I knew some really rich Mexican citizens in Los Angeles. They were globe trotters, fluent in multiple languages, and just absolutely loaded. They would fly to watch the National Team playing, and I am sure they are in Germany.
I'm usually for the idea of "those that are talented get the rewards" but when 1. the disparity is so great, 2. there is obvious corruption and 3. it threatens to ruin the only Super Power, the USA, I have to speak up.
51st minute
Match Cast is busy... can't get in ... must be a scam. Emirates Airlines is getting tons of advertising without accomodating...
Not even the robust Swedish girl can help coax a goal in this game.
Okay, Mexico free kick so maybe.
It always is. I guess they leave the connections open to people in other countries knowing that we have ESPN Matchcast, SI matchcast, etc.
Mexico isn't third world. The only true third world country in the Western Hemisphere is Haiti.
I've been to Tanzania. GDP = $150 per PERSON PER YEAR! Now THAT is poor!
Mexico is the closest thing to Apartheid era South Africa. A small minority of elite whites control the country over the vast majority of the indigenous population. Of course Fox, and his white cronies want to dump as many indigenous people on the US, except for their own personal maids of course.
The problem is that to control the population they instill great nationalism in the Mexican people. They are rabidly nationalist.
I have to admit that I am not to interested in this group.
Looking forward to watch a replay after this game of the Argentina-Serbia game. I missed the first half, which some have called the best ever played on a football pitch :-)
Surely, it cannot live up to such hype. Anyhow, should be a great way to finish the day.
Cheers.
Yep. The Mexican fans were cheering "Osama, Osama, Osama" at a Mexico vs. US game. For that reason, I don't feel bad for them if they lose to Angola.
Whoever advances from this group gets to face Argentina and Holland. So nobody will be too interested in this group for very long.
Red Card! How stupid was that!
Darnit, shades of the Poland-Germany game.
A lot of goals being scored in the dying minutes of the game. Look at England v T & T
Yep, it seems inevitable that Mexico will escape.
I haven't been able to post much this week. I wanted to make sure to mention this in case it went unsaid. Last weekend, Bruce Arena was rather harsh, naming names (players), and the "World Cup Soccer Live" (ESPN) TV crew not only ignored that part of his comments, but actually praised hi, saying he was a really swell guy for NOT getting harsh with the players. It was funny. By the next edition of "Live," they ignored the subject altogether. I've been cutting up on Alexi, Eric & Julie because they're just sort of comical...but that was a true flub.
I think I read something today, that 40 percent of the goals so far has come within the last 15 minutes...
