Easy Rider inspired me to make a chopper out of my Schwinn Stingray. One wonders where all those extra bicycle forks came from. I thought that Easy Rider had a couple of conservative moments, such as when the riders encounter a family living on a ranch and commends them on their ability to make a living on their own, and when they come upon a farming commune of people choosing to live on the land independent of outside society.

AFI is queer for "To Kill A Mockingbird".
Not all that as I remember.

I think it was supposed to inspire you to bump off some Krauts. However, I understand that sort of behaviour is frowned on today.

In the Heat of the Night? Probably a "perfect" movie, but not inspiring.

The Wizard of OZ? It's been a long time, but just what was so inspirational about it?

I noticed that the 1939 version of this film is listed. I prefer the 1925 version, starring Larry Seman and Oliver Hardy. It's a lot funnier.

It's just a list of movies made up by the usual suspects. Some are good, some bad, some ugly, but nothing is particularly inspirational about them. And frankly, my dear, I go to the movies to be entertained, not inspired.

Is there a Speilberg movie that didn't make it?
Duel!

Yes, a very inspiring movie about how a lone common car driver can over come and vanquish the evil tanker truck driver. I am sure that there was oil in that evil truck.

Lilies of the Field made the list, but how about Lizzies of the Field (1924), a film about an auto race starring Billy Bevan?

34. All the President's Men, 1976

????

Kind of a dumb list. Too many PC films listed.
