Two people were convicted Wednesday for the vicious beating of an elderly man who was delivering newspapers at 5 a.m. in Del Paso Heights last year. Dante Laron McFall, 17, who was prosecuted as an adult in Sacramento Superior Court, and Roy Lee George, 24, were convicted of felony attempted robbery, assault and elder abuse. ...

[snip] In closing arguments, Deputy District Attorney Sheri Greco told jurors that Bentley was attacked July 31 in an attempt to steal his truck. ...

[snip] William White, McFall's attorney, said the incident wasn't a robbery attempt.

How about telling the cops that you have a House Vote at 3 a.m.? When it comes to telling impossible whoppers, I will back Patches Kennedy every time!

The lawyer who said this in an open courtroom is a worthless human being. Denny Crane wouldn't even try such a cheap stunt.

"The only place "you are not supposed to be" is on private property without permission."

Exactly. My mom used to get irate about people saying "well, the victim never should have been there", but those saying it were never lawyers!

Thinking of that sort does not belong in the courts of a free state. ergo, one who espouses such lines of thought in such a court does not belong in a free state. By his own words, this lawyer has declared open season upon himself.

someone hand me a clue-by-four.
