I have recently joined "The Daily Kos". I have done so to pursue honest, reasonable, and rational debate. I have started posting on the site and became aware of an interesting and disgusting policy on. The troll policy is described as follows in the FAQ:
"Dealing with trolls Trolling is a sad reality of internet life. Most trolls tend to be blatant, posting comments or diaries that are clearly intended to provoke an angry response. Other trollish messages are posted simply to disrupt the conversation in a diary. Directly replying to the content of a trollish message is usually a waste of time; trolls tend not to be interested in actual debate. There are two methods in wide use to help keep the community as troll-free as possible. The first is troll-rating comments. Trusted Users (see above) can give comments a rating of troll. If a comment has been rated by two or more users, and there are more troll ratings than recommends, then that comment (and all replies to it) are automatically hidden. Hidden comments and their responses can only be seen by Trusted Users. Unfortunately, there is no similar mechanism for hiding trollish diaries. Instead of writing detailed rebuttals of whatever claims or argument the troll is making, the standard response to a troll diary is to post comments containing recipes for tasty dishes. Plenty of examples can be found in the Troll Diary tag. An entire cookbook of recipes has been collected and is being sold as a fundraiser."
I have been given this "troll rating" even though I have not used swear words or attacked other users peronally. I suppose it should not surprise me that these moonbats would want to censor and control the "content" that they read. I forgot that they only like the 1st ammendment when it protects their speech. I have emailed "Kos" and asked him about the policy. I find this policy absolutely ridiculous and am happy that Free Republic does not have a policy such as this, NO MATTER how unpopular the post may be.
FYI my name on The Kos is "clintonliedandpeopledied"
WOW I have just realized that Free Republic does have a similar policy. In trying to post they would not let me use www.dailykos.com which is why I used aol.com.
Just a quick Constitutional refresher for you... Amendment I of the Constitution does not restrict PRIVATE ENTITIES from restricting your speech.
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech...
The only protection that Amendment I gives you is from the GOVERNMENT abridging your freedom of speech.
I'm a troll at craig's list's rants and raves boards. Sending the librats into a spinning freakout every time I go there.
True, but you got some cool graphics....or at least, you USED to have them.
I don't know why you would waste your time with those sub-human cretins.
Excellent! You're learning.
Good luck on FR. ;)
I got bitten by a mosquito on my arm last night.
That sucks.
I think I'm catching a cold.
I hate summer colds.
Do you ever find those "claw casings" around your house?
I think they're kind of cool.
Not too bright, are you? Going on a leading left-wing nut website with the moniker "clintonliedandpeopledied" is obvious chum bait and then some. And you went there to an ultra left wing nut site to have honest, reasonable and rational debate? Even funnier is your coming over here and complaining about how Kos doesn't treat you nice.
Frankly, I don't believe you, you're way too disingenuous, my little ingenue.
There is no more to debate, it is war.
It itches.
Nonsense. We do nothing like that. Our trolls are banned outright, not "tagged". Then we dance on their remains.
They can't read. ;)
ROTFLMAO!!!!!!!
And how is anyone supposed to know that from your post?:
FYI my name on The Kos is "clintonliedandpeopledied"
And you wonder why they consider you a troll?
Then scratch it.
;-)
