There were many good things in a LOT of fundamentally flawed cultures, but the fact that these cultures had good points doesn't mean we celebrate them. he Soviets built spiffy rockets, and effectively won the space race. Does that mean that Stalin is just neato-keen?

There is much goodness in Southern Culture, and it is to be lauded and preserved, which I notice you have a hard time doin, but I guess each to his own.
