What many freepers do not realize is that when a young blonde teacher has sex with some 15-year-old boy, the response of "Where was she when I was in school?" is really the same thing as what this expert said.

What YOU seem to not realize is that the above is said only jokingly and most of us really are appalled at teachers who behave that way, male or female. This so-called "professional" was being quite serious when he made his comments.

I do realize people are joking when they say that. I engage in a fair amount of dark humor myself, and I know I have offended some people by my comments. I always feel bad when someone sends me mail saying that I hurt their feelings. I try to joke without hurting. Sometimes I fail.

But you know as well as I do that whenever a female teacher takes advantage of a boy, we will have a lot of comments here saying he was lucky. Personally, I don't think all of them are joking, but that's another matter.

I'm just pointing out that on the one hand we have widespread joking about lucky victims of sexual assault and on the other hand, we have a scholarly expert saying that the retarded girl probably enjoyed the assault.

Yeah, there's a difference there. But, personally, I don't make jokes about lazy black people eating fried chicken and being stupid. As a society, we really don't do that anymore. Hopefully. I think joking about sexual assault is one of the areas where people should not go.

But, hey,(shrugs) humor is humor and I'm not trying to censor anyone. Just saying it's (IMO) bad taste.
