Lacrosse Scandal: The Duke Accuser—New Credibility Questions (Newsweek)

Early in the Duke lacrosse rape investigation, Durham District Attorney Mike Nifong, who was in a close race to keep his job, spoke about the physical and emotional trauma the alleged victim had suffered at the hands of the players. A police affidavit stated that her medical records revealed the victim had "injuries consistent with being raped and sexually assaulted vaginally and anally." But according to a motion filed by defense attorneys last week, no such physical trauma was found during her exam at Duke hospital. Quoting from the report, which was submitted to the court under seal, the motion states that the nurse—who was in training—examined the woman's entire pelvic region and noted only diffuse swelling of the vaginal walls, a condition explainable by consensual sexual activity.

Police documents indicate that the accuser had in fact engaged in such activity in the days leading up to the incident. The accuser told police that she'd had sex with her boyfriend a week before. She added that she'd also performed using a vibrator in front of a couple. (Though the timing of this incident is not specific, the clear implication is that it had happened near the time of the lacrosse party.) And, according to defense attorneys, the boyfriend's seminal fluid was found in her, suggesting she'd also had sex with him within 72 hours. Jarriel Johnson, who identified himself as the woman's driver, told police in a statement that in addition to sleeping with the accuser himself a week prior to the party, he'd taken her to several appointments at hotels in the days before.

That makes it even scarier, if there's a method to their madness - LOL!

I saw what you wrote about Allred not being in the very next segment and it's an excellent point. 2 months ago, Allred would've demanded to do the next segment. I watched the replay, and I'm sure Allred declined to comment on the Sister-sex worker.

As to the black gentleman from Houston FBI (Don Clark), if he's active, I'm sure there's more than enough crime in Houston for him to be addressing. It's offensive to the senses to see a law man disregarding basic physical evidence (DNA), victims with mult-versional stories, victims that lied to the prosecutor - then changed their story (sexual encounters) when confronted with evidence (DNA), and all this with no corroborating witness.

It's offensive to the senses to see a law man disregarding basic physical evidence (DNA), victims with mult-versional stories, victims that lied to the prosecutor - then changed their story (sexual encounters) when confronted with evidence (DNA), and all this with no corroborating witness.

More than likely he doesn't know any of this. He is a retired FBI guy who has an agent connected to someone or is related to someone behind the scenes on that show. He got his big break to come comment on a case nobody else wants to comment on.

He knows what side he was brought in to comment on. He does not need information on the case, he knows his side. He might have filled this role at the last minute. [She gave us no credentials for him other than ex-FBI Houston.] So he plays his role and hopes to be asked back again. He was not all that dynamic, so we may never see him again, but if this case drags on and fewer and fewer people will play that role, we may see alot of him.

In Regard to Post 215, COOPERATION

These 2 guys may be in trouble when the families' resources shift to targeting those that made False public statements, in their offical positions, and wrongly accused them - the entire team publicly without regard to the presumption of innocence or the evidence pointing towards exoneration:

On March 28th, Duke President Richard Broadhead stated the players "have been cooperating all along with the investigation". However, the very next day, CBS published this attribution to another Duke offical:
Duke Provost Peter Lange said Monday that he believes "the students would be well-advised to come forward. They have chosen not to."

A Durham Police representative contradicts Sgt. Mark Gotllieb's comments that the Players "are being cooperative," by telling CBS News: "We do know that some of the players inside the house on that evening knew what transpired, and we need them to come forward," David Addison, with the Durham Police Department, said."

That entire, must come forward plea, echoed in the Posters distributed to an angry Mob at University protests, presupposes that a crime has been commited and therefore there are witnesses to said crime. It also indicates that they have NOT already communicated their knowledge of the events of the night.

The News Corpse won't address some actual items in the evidence, at least three of the talking heads said they were uncomfortable with the Medical report being discussed or being available in the public arena.

Strangely, the News Corpse had no problem whatsoever speculating, discussing, and furthering on National TV the following:

* The Cab driver was PAID by the Duke Families.
* Early speculation was that the 47 player, whom is black, may not go along in the cover up and become a state's witness.
* Condoms were used.
* The AV was raped anally with a Broomstick
* The attack had been planned by a clannish group of privileged white boys that don't respect diversity.
* The woman was given a Date Rape cocktail and Nifong has proof (the silver bullet).
* A third and fourth woman were verbally attacked and their 911 call corroborated the AV's story by demonstrating how out of control the LAX team was.
* 2 black strippers were ordered up so they could be tormented and demeaned by the racist blue eyed Devils.
* The AV was naive and new to dancing and in over her head with the raucous, evil-intentioned, white, rich kids.
* The Culture at Duke - Rich and White and feeling entitled - contributed to the Damien-like males rovering Duke's campus late at night.
* If more minorities and women were in Duke's leadership, faculty, and student body, it would have a cleansing effect on these cloistered young caucasian hooligans that don't respect people that look different from them.
* The weak, protected, soft white kids would run to the Distric Attorney and plead guilty to save their own butts as soon as they hear the news that indictments have been handed down.
* The players saw the minority dancers as something less than human due to the players privileged upbringing.
* They viewed black women as something for a white man's entertainment.
* Mostly white lacrosse breeds a super secret loyalty and a different breed of person, this accounts for the ability for all 47 players to stand together in a criminal conspiracy and pull off the ultimate cover-up.
* The Defense lawyers were lying when they held press conferences and announced the DNA results.
* The Timestamps on the digital cameras or phones were tampered with.
* The Delay in the investigation and search warrants execution was to due to the fact the players are white and the AV is black.
* Rape Jackets were worn to prevent the players arms from being scratched during the attack.
* The Drunk players were careful to ejaculate in a towel during this reprehensible attack.
* One of the players made phone calls while gang raping the woman. At least 3 of the women of Cable raised the possibility, on National TV, that this was done to announce they were participating in a crime and get a sick kick, and add to the degradation of the Gang Rape victim.
* Many opined that the 4 phone calls by Seligman indicated he was desparately calling a Taxi, in order to leave the Crime scene.
* Unsubstaniated reports were floated saying the Duke team had a history of commiting date rapes.
* The lack of DNA can be explained because she was attacked from behind and she didn't realize a foreign object had been used.
* Cultural differences in the black community account for her telling the Police officer one thing, and telling the nurses another thing entirely.
* The AV was in shock in the Kroger parking lot. In shock from a most vicious, brutual gang-rape and beating.
* The LAX coach resigned because of his involvement. The resignation indicated guilt.
* The treatment of ex-convicts prevented the woman from getting a job, and she had no choice but to dance to support her family.
* Nancy Grace said 3 days ago, the case may go away, not because of the evidence, but because the Duke boosters have lots of money to make it go away.

DURHAM - A Durham lawyer and county commissioner is considering a write-in election campaign to try and unseat District Attorney Mike Nifong, the prosecutor overseeing the investigation of a rape accusation involving three members of the Duke University lacrosse team.

The case has generated headlines across the nation about Duke and Durham, and Nifong's role in the case has become the subject of almost nightly segments on some national cable news shows. Much of it is critical of Nifong's performance.

In an interview Sunday, Commissioner Lewis Cheek said he has been recruited to challenge Nifong.

"I am looking at it," Cheek said, "and ... it means I'm seriously thinking about it. I need to look at it from every angle and think about what is the right thing to do."

He said he will decide within about two weeks
