Over on this thread is a proposal for a FR 10th anniversary get-together:

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1651547/posts

Any thoughts of Texas FReepers and Folders that would want to attend (and conscript FReeper computers as contributors)?

Just a thought.

Make my goal for Monday morning (in the top 150). Looking to hopefully make top 125 by next Monday (although 120 would be nice)

Monday night PING....

Seems there's only about 24 teams outfolding us at this point. Many of the rest have a bit of a jump on us, but I'm sure they know by now, they WILL be going down.

I expect that as we continually add a few more folders than we lose every month, we will be holding our own against the 25 - 50 place teams.

Once our bigger contributors kick back in, we will pop close to the Top 20 of all teams in daily production.

Come on, August!

Give it a bit until it has some track record to give you a better completion estimate.

...and there won't be quite as much red and yellow on the FAHMonitor page!

Yeah, that's what I figured, after a reboot, it's not got any history to go on..

Later!

My laptop just lost a large, finished WU when I tried to connect and send it. I don't know what happened, it gave me some kind of "empty work folder" message, downloaded a new project and started working on it.

1. #94, and #93, sometime tommorrow.

2. 10,000 WU bump for me :)

3. Next milestone, 2 million, top 200 folders overall, and a new airconditioning unit.

(Lazy *****'s still haven't installed it, but I made up for it, a bit, by doing some "lab experiments", to get me back up in the 6K point range. Don't wanna push my luck, but yeah, c'mon august... )

4. EOC took a data collection nose dive last night, really skewed up the stats, but since everyone's equally affected, no biggie.

5. Has anyone found a DU folding thread, since the mods pulled #11, after the Bush Country graphic fiasco? That may have been their last hurrah. I think goatSE admissions, and a chiding from a well known freeper folder, probably put them into panic mode or something.

Not only will I add more stations from my Florida warehouse, I will figure out why the XML DLLs were giving me DLL heck. :)

Anybody know how to run the console FAH client (not as a service, just from a command window) under the semi current Betas of Vista?

I tried by using the registry keys I use with XP and W2K, and got farther than without, but it would sort of start, list all the waypoints done to date on a unit and then halt with the window still open.

Talk to Klutz (re:post 72), I'll bet he can help.

That's great! Top 20 on our team and Top 20 on other politically motivated boards are very different challenges.

We have three new folders that are really producing a lot of points. I find it fantastic that the Free Republic Folders is attracting such talented (and CPU rich) folders to help out the project.

Hey Egon, got any suprises in store for us with your shutdown ?

OK, so it had nothing to do with the shutdown, but check this out...

I've added functionality to track a history of projects (and their starting timestamp) for each machine. You can access it by clicking on the status indicator light next to your machine (even if it's invisible-- indicating OK).

While it's not sexy yet, it does give me the ability to add some functionality later on like:

The caveat, of course, is: I only have access to the starting time of each project. This means there are some things that can throw off the completion times like: inability to download the next project for a bit, downtime of the machine, etc.

Suggestions on this and anything else are always welcome!
