The ant and grasshopper story was read to me over 55 years ago in elementary school. It's been with me ever since.

Here's the origin of that story. People used it without crediting him, and claimed it for their own. He does have archiave proof that he is the author of the story.

This will sound crazy, but... wait 'til you hear the new, REAL version of the ant & grasshopper story.

I just received a book written by two teachers for children ages 3-6. The book has many stories to use in a classroom, including the ant and the grasshopper. But here's how they end the story now:

The farmer's son kicks over the ant's hill and destroys all the work the ant did. Now it's too late for the ant to prepare its hill again for winter. He says to the grasshopper: "It looks like we both will die." The grasshopper says: "True. But at least I enjoyed the summer."
