I drive this section of 101 between scottsdale and phoenix everyday back and forth between work. When the cameras were first put into action earlier this year, there used to be a lot of 'false positive' flashes. I got 'flashed once myself doing 60mph !

I'm glad to hear this from a local. The idea that over 30,000 people - in one month - were doing over 76 mph or more is red-lining my BS meter.

Course if it's true - - - I gotta get meself to Scottsdale soon and check it out.

I had to work in Tempe a few months ago - flew in and rented a Dodge Ram pickup from Enterprise. Had a few hours to kill so I drove over to Karsten/ASU for 18 holes, and thought nothing of it. A week after I got home, I received a letter from the Tempe/ASU PD. A photo-radar ticket for doing 53mph in a 40mph zone. Darn thing cost me $152.00. Guilty as charged, but if it's gonna cost me that much money, I'd prefer to get the full treatment - red lights, siren, etc.
