I need help with an unusual auction that I would like to post on ebay and I was wondering if there are any freeper ebay experts out here that i could get to help me with the do's and dont's of selling on ebay...
Dude, don't sell your liver. Even if you aren't using it now, you'll need it at some point in the future.
What sort of help. I've sold lots of things on ebay.
I will be auctioning off links on a website, not real items (well not really) but ebay had a problem with my the fact that website link was in my auction title post so they cancelled my auctions. I understand why, I just dont know how to work it out so I can post this unusual auction. Before I reply to them I would like to maybe understand more. I can send you a link to my site so you understand more... its a one time auction, pretty crazy idea I had.
Meek ping...
I am sorry to say I have no idea how to help you with that. What category are you posting it under? Are there any similar type auctions? Whenever I don't know something, I just see what others are doing.
I've sold some things. Done well. If it's for a (political)charity auction, be sure to follow the rules carefully, cause lefties read FR... Best not to say too much here. Someone linked to a DailyKos Ebay auction (which did not obey the rules - it was fraud, there was no charity yet, though they advertised it as such) & I reported it to Ebay. It was pulled. Same could apply in reverse. IF IT's NOT for a charity, please ignore most of what I said.
you are trying to sell ad space on your website thru ebay?

Yes, I am basically selling all the empty space on my real life items and for visual effect i have my website url already on them pictures. One issue was I was posting one item on ebay with a link back to my site where I had all the other items with buy now buttons so I understand ebays concerns about that... i was wondering if anyone had any similar experience and how they handled it.
hmmm, no ideas... I was just trying to understand what you were trying to do.
Good God. I think you need to knock the bark off this thing. Find an easier way to explain what you're selling because I can't make heads or tails of what you've said here - and you'd never get bids on something so vague / confusing.
Have you tried asking on one of the Ebay forums? There are many people there who are knowledgeable and helpful. Maybe the Sellers Forum (I think that's the name).
Daves birthday card, auction was pulled by ebay because they claimed it was a charity which it was not, but I've relisted it here.
