In a post to someone a couple hours ago, I suggested that "It's possible he's done well covering up extreme biases".

Working on suppressing embarrassments would be him and his publicist, and the cops may have done it out of purely Christian values. Celebs have more reasons and resources to avoid embarrassment than I do since the press is hounding them.

He's a good entertainer is all we know for certain, isn't it? Beyond that all we really know is That he's human.

Well like I think I said earlier, the biggest thing to me was he was drunk on the road because I've had my neck broken by a drunken driver when I was just a kid.

I don't doubt Mel was given a pass before if he cooperated and didn't have a history. He has a church down there, pumps lots of money into the community and being famous can get you some bit of extra special treatment.

The fact he was drunk and speeding was the worst part for me.

I don't like that antisemitic stuff he said at all and even though drunk I think it will be remembered by most folks for the next 15 years.

The one funny think I read in all this was he asked the arresting Chinese officer if he was a Jew?
Give me odds on that one. LOL
