Heavenly Father, we throw ourselves on Your mercy asking that You reveal Your wisdom and Your Truth to those in our government who make our laws. Open their ears to Your will that they may take Your Word into their hearts.
Our nation has sinned against You in many ways and we beg Your forgiveness, seeking the healing that only You can bring to our land. Let us harken back to the God of our founding fathers whom You inspired to start this nation off on such a firm foundation, unique among all nations in history and acknowledging You as the Source of strength and guidance. Revive and refresh us, O Lord, that we may seek to know and follow Your will. Amen.
