Glad to pray for her, and I will post her to the prayer request thread, too.

Unto You, O Lord, we return with praise and thanksgiving, for Your mercy is ever upon us.

We praise You, Merciful Father, that You have slowed the passage of any new law regarding immigration, that there might be time for exacting and tedious inspection of every word. So great is the outcome, O Lord, that we continue in earnest prayer for those in authority over us, that they would be mindful to do only that which is right and good in Your sight, for then, and only then, will it be right and good for the people.

May those who have oversight be burdened to strengthen our borders and to enforce our existing laws, that we might once again proudly proclaim that we are a nation of laws. Let justice be rendered when those laws are transgressed ... let us never reward the lawbreaker, for in so doing, we negate the accomplishments of our law abiding citizens. Stir up the people to a Godly sense of fairness ... may they be vocal and forceful, consistent and insistent, and may they prevail.

May it be thus, O Lord, may it be thus, in Your Blessed Name we pray, Amen ...

Talked to Pepperdogs DIL. She said that she was doing great. Please continue to pray and thanks for the prayers already lifted up.

I am glad to hear that...We'll keep her in our prayers, because I know it takes a while for cataract surgery to fully heal...

Unto you, O Lord, we return with thanksgiving, for great is Your faithfulness.

This night, Merciful Father, give rest to those in authority over us ... may those who seek Your wisdom and counsel, who heed Your Word and walk in Your ways, may they find renewed strength in peaceful sleep. May those who disregard Your admonitions and listen not to the voice of Your people, may rest escape them, for they seek that which is pleasing to them, at the expense of others. Cause them to listen to the urging of the Holy Spirit ... may they become open to Your offer of eternal life through Christ ... raise them up, O Lord, that they might become servants of Jesus Christ in all that they say and do

Hear our prayer, O Lord ...
Hear our prayer, O Lord ...
Incline thine ear to us
And grant us thy peace. Amen ...

It is to You, O Lord, that we return with thanksgiving, for it is You who can deliver us from the enemy who is encamped on all sides.

Give eyes to see, and ears to hear, and wisdom in the hearts of the people, that we might know that our beloved country is under attack for its very soul. The words that come from the mouths of the enemy are smooth and beguiling, meant to quench the thirst for power over the lives and the laws and the liberty of the people.

Raise up, O Lord, righteous and Godly people to stand in the gap for us ... may we uphold them in prayer and supplication, that they not be weary in battle against a relentless and ruthless enemy. Grant the greatest wisdom to those in authority over us, that we not be led into the captivity of complacency and tacit agreement that laws can be broken by whim and whimsy. May we return to the solid foundation of faith in You and Your Word ... to a righteous form of justice and mercy ... to a nation that is pleasing in Your sight ... to a nation that continues to be blessed by You.

Only You, O Lord, can redeem our national lives ... give voice to the people as they meet with their representatives these next few days ... cause them to be clear and eloquent, that their words not fall on deaf ears. Prepare the hearts of those in authority over us to receive the admonition and desire of the people, that this nation would show forth Your will for Your children ... to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with our God.

It is with broken hearts and with tears that we cry out to You, O Lord, for the time is short and the enemy is vicious, but we praise You for evermore that greater is He that is in us, than he that is in the world.

Unto You, O Lord, be Power and Honor and Glory and Majesty and Praise, both in this life and in the life to come. Amen ...

My Country 'Tis of Thee

My country tis of thee,
Sweet land of liberty,
Of thee I sing.
Land where my fathers died!
Land of the Pilgrim's pride!
From every mountain side,
Let freedom ring!

My native country, thee,
Land of the noble free,
Thy name I love.
I love thy rocks and rills,
Thy woods and templed hills;
My heart with rapture fills
Like that above.

Let music swell the breeze,
And ring from all the trees
Sweet freedom's song.
Let mortal tongues awake;
Let all that breathe partake;
Let rocks their silence break,
The sound prolong.

Our father's God to, Thee,
Author of liberty,
To Thee we sing.
Long may our land be bright
With freedom's holy light;
Protect us by Thy might,
Great God, our King!

May it be, Merciful Father, that we, as a nation, shall again proclaim that You are the Author of Liberty, and that all the blessings of liberty will rightfully and lawfully be extended to all whose desire is to share and preserve our beloved country.

May it be thus, O Lord, may it be thus, in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Amen ...

Very nice Pegita.

I'll add...

O beautiful for spacious skies,
For amber waves of grain,
For purple mountain majesties
Above the fruited plain!
America! America!
God shed his grace on thee
And crown thy good with brotherhood
From sea to shining sea!

O beautiful for pilgrim feet
Whose stern, impassioned stress
A thoroughfare for freedom beat
Across the wilderness!
America! America!
God mend thine every flaw,
Confirm thy soul in self-control,
Thy liberty in law!

O beautiful for heroes proved In liberating strife.
Who more than self the country loved
And mercy more than life!
America! America!
May God thy gold refine
Till all success be nobleness
And every gain divine!

O beautiful for patriot dream
That sees beyond the years
Thine alabaster cities gleam
Undimmed by human tears!
America! America!
God shed his grace on thee
And crown thy good with brotherhood
From sea to shining sea!

O beautiful for halcyon skies,
For amber waves of grain,
For purple mountain majesties
Above the enameled plain!
America! America!
God shed his grace on thee
Till souls wax fair as earth and air
And music-hearted sea!

O beautiful for pilgrims feet,
Whose stern impassioned stress
A thoroughfare for freedom beat
Across the wilderness!
America ! America !
God shed his grace on thee
Till paths be wrought through
wilds of thought
By pilgrim foot and knee!

O beautiful for glory-tale
Of liberating strife
When once and twice,
for man's avail
Men lavished precious life !
America! America!
God shed his grace on thee
Till selfish gain no longer stain
The banner of the free!

O beautiful for patriot dream
That sees beyond the years
Thine alabaster cities gleam
Undimmed by human tears!
America! America!
God shed his grace on thee
Till nobler men keep once again
Thy whiter jubilee!

God help our country to be strong,
’Gainst all the battle-hosts of wrong;
In all we pledge or think or do
God help our country to be true.

God hold our nation’s aim sincere,
God save her heart from coward fear,
God prosper her with true success,
And crown her head with worthiness.

From foe without and foe within,
From open shame and hidden sin,
From boastful pride and greedy store,
God keep our nation evermore!

Amos R. Wells

O Lord of our hope, and lord of our life,
you shelter us here in darkness and strife.
O Lord, guide us always, bring us close to your light
Through fear and attack, pain or dark night.

O Lord of our hope, and Lord of our peace,
O teach us thy truths until all struggles cease,
O Lord, guide us always, bring us close to your light
Through fear and attack, pain or dark night.

O Lord of our hope, and Lord of all power,
Who guards us and keeps us within your strong tower
O Lord, guide us always, bring us close to your light
Through fear and attack, pain or dark night.

KAC

O Lord, this day we come before you,
asking your help.
Be with our nation and guide those who must protect the land
by their decisions.

We thank you always for all of your help. Give us grateful and loving hearts.

In the name of Jesus, Amen.
