Unto you, O Lord, we return with thanksgiving, for great is Your faithfulness.

This night, Merciful Father, give rest to those in authority over us ... may those who seek Your wisdom and counsel, who heed Your Word and walk in Your ways, may they find renewed strength in peaceful sleep. May those who disregard Your admonitions and listen not to the voice of Your people, may rest escape them, for they seek that which is pleasing to them, at the expense of others. Cause them to listen to the urging of the Holy Spirit ... may they become open to Your offer of eternal life through Christ ... raise them up, O Lord, that they might become servants of Jesus Christ in all that they say and do
