This is in Clovis, New Mexico. If you love the music of the Buddy Holly era, this should be a good show. I plan to be there. Beyond Norman Petty's recording studios where Buddy Holly, Waylon Jennings, and others recorded their music, Lubbock is about 90 miles south of Clovis if you would like to see the Buddy Holly "Walk of Fame" and the Buddy Holly Museum.

I am not affiliated with any of these persons or groups. Just posting for Freepers' interest.

Wow, Mike Berry -- on the poster above -- is a walking trivia question! He played "Mr. Spooner" on the British comedy "Are You Being Served" and also, according to Wikipedia:

He had a three hits in the 1960s (Notably Tribute To Buddy Holly), and is sometimes confused with Dave Berry. His first singles were produced by Joe Meek. In 1980, he had a big chart success in the UK, with The Sunshine Of Your Smile, a romantic song written before the First World War. His most recent CD About Time Two, recorded in Nashville with The Crickets, has received rave reviews: Now Dig This - Britain's leading rock'n'roll magazine - rated it as "really good" and describes the version of Bobby Charles's Before I Grow Too Old an "absolute masterpiece".

Even recorded with the Crickets -- amazing chap, and probably well worth the ticket price!
