Buddy Holly died far too young.He did some fine,fine stuff.
He had a three hits in the 1960s (Notably Tribute To Buddy Holly), and is sometimes confused with Dave Berry. His first singles were produced by Joe Meek. In 1980, he had a big chart success in the UK, with The Sunshine Of Your Smile, a romantic song written before the First World War. His most recent CD About Time Two, recorded in Nashville with The Crickets, has received rave reviews: Now Dig This - Britain's leading rock'n'roll magazine - rated it as "really good" and describes the version of Bobby Charles's Before I Grow Too Old an "absolute masterpiece".
Even recorded with the Crickets -- amazing chap, and probably well worth the ticket price!
