Thanks for the ping, beyond the sea.
We once had a young weanling filly still on her mother that broke her leg. Our vet thought it was worth a try to fix so my Dad and I took her to Columbia, Missouri to the vet school there. Unfortunately, she still didn't make it. This was back in the early 70's so I know equine medicine has progressed significantly since then.
Continued hopes for Barbaro's recovery.
