I have a son named Logan in honor of Wolverine. I took said son to see X-Men 3 on Friday. If you are a fan of the comic books, to say X-Men 3 sucked, is like saying Hurricane Katrina was a light mist, and that The sinking of the Titanic was a small accident.

I disagree completely. My wife and I are big fans of the comics (I've read and collected comics since the 70s) and I can say that we both thoroughly enjoyed the movie. Yes, it was different from the comics, but that was true of the first two movies as well. The changes in this one were no worse than the changes made in the first two, and in no way detracted from the story, IMHO.

I'm a fan of the comics, I think they did a good job. The movie series has always been about hilights from the books, they're taking 3 generations worth of characters and key points from about 4 years worth of multiple books (mostly X-Men, but some New Mutants, and X-Factor, and that other spinoff book I always forget) and working them into a viable story that while different from the original still keeps the spirit.
