Doctors said sexually transmitted diseases among senior citizens are running rampant at a popular Central Florida retirement community, according to a Local 6 News report.
A gynecologist at The Villages community near Orlando, Fla., said she treats more cases of herpes and the human papilloma virus in the retirement community than she did in the city of Miami.
"Yeah, they are very shocked (to hear the diagnosis)," gynecologist Dr. Colleen McQuade said. "I had a patient in her 80s."
"More and more senior citizens are ending up in the gynecologist office, and their diagnosis is a sexually transmitted disease," Local 6 reporter Vanessa Medina said.
Local 6 featured Louis Franklin, who used to date in the community at least three times a week.
"I have had a better dating life since I have been here than I have ever had," Franklin said. "I know there are things going around."

I remember talking to a police officer from Sun City, Az awhile back. He said the old folks makin' out in the parks are worse than the teenagers ever were.
Please no mental image. Please no mental image. Please . .
I have visions in the futureof talking to my 90 year old mother on this topic. I hope I can pass on that one.
Ewwww....
"They still get frisky at that age?"
My grandma was born during World War I and is always talking about sex. At Thanksgiving she always shoots her mouth off and the rest of the family is like "Um.... we're like trying to eat and stuff..." :O)
>>>>>>>>>> Running for cover!!!!
Awww Come on. There are a whole bunch of old folks who dont even rate on that ugly scale.
These things should at a minimum be illegal on the beach/at the pool.
Old people bumpin' uglies is not something I want to think about before dinner or anytime time for that matter.
There ain't enough beer in the world.
LOL! I saw this article earlier today. My parents live in The Villages, and Mom says you can always tell the people who are in a "new relationship" - either a new marriage, or just "together" - because they walk around holding hands and mooning at each other, just like teenagers.
An 80-year-old with HPV doesn't have time to develop cervical cancer, anyway.
It takes a village.
There was a previous discussion of this.

I work in medicine in a Urology practice. You would not believe the numbers of men over 70 that are asking for "recreational drugs", i.e. Cialis, Levitra, and Viagra.
I recently had an 84 y/o tell me that women like his wife don't reach their sexual peak until 80. I almost lost it (and it was not easy to maintain my composure) when he told me that she has slowed down a bit since she fell and broke her hip at 82.
Please, spare me the details!
