I have data on my computers that go back to 1990 I have always pulled my data from one machine to another.
My new machine is working great so shortly I will bring my back up data drive from the previous one over so I have all my old data and a hard drive to use to back up.
At present I am working with 2 machine (P4 1.6Gb) and my new one (2.3AMD).
I've always transferred data too. On my old Apple //e, I have files on discs that I've done in high school from 1982 onward. I also have an old Dell '486SX25 with 120 meg HD but my two main computers I use is a Gateway Pentium II (1998) 266 MHz and an IBM Thinkpad Pentium II 366 MHz. The Gateway is more of a "Frankencomputer" now, I've made some upgrades like a 192 meg RAM and a 200 gigabyte HD.

I still have an old 486SX that also have a 120mb hard drive.
In fact I still have my old Amstrad 8086 machine which I presume stills works but have not booted it up for years that has 40mb hard card in the rear expansion slot. My late mum put that in for me LOL.
