An open letter to the Singles Community and the Moderator Staff regarding the events over the past couple days.

Good Evening:

If it is possible, I would like to know the nature and the reason for the complaint.

I know you guys have a tough job--and it's difficult trying to keep FR a wholesome site. I commend your efforts.

To our knowledge, we have tried to keep it clean in accordance with FR guidelines and the decorum we who partake on the Singles thread have agreed upon.

Further, what we have done is by far not a new concept, and several other, er, couples have done much more than what we've done. Heck, ilovew and I have set extremely conservative guidelines as to what we can and cannot post/FRmail. Anything above that we've used traditional email off of FR.

Second, we've picked an abandoned thread to hang out on after the weekends have ended. To our knowledge, others have visited us and haven't complained--if they did, both of us agreed to tone it down and take it to either FRmail or regular email.

Third, we are not sure what we can and cannot do. Thus far, we have interpreted it as a blanket ban on communicating to each other on FR.

Fourth, the Singles thread was created in part for this very purpose--being geared toward adults (though definitely not an "R" or "X" rated thread) and meant to foster discusssion and possibly flirting among participants.

I understand it may not necessarily appropriate for General/Chat--if that's the case, then would it work to place the threads in the Backroom (if possible)?

With all due respect, we believe all of this with regard to ilovew and myself is extremely unfair and we wish to know why you felt it was necessary to do what you did.
