Doggone it, please forgive me for not asking about your trip. Last week I met myself at the airport, so I have been a litle kerfrazzled.
The subway is a little daunting -- I am glad you worked it out. I remember I was standing under the "J" subway sign and one of the people who worked there said "this isn't the J subway -- you have to come over to the OTHER 'J'." Go figger.
I assume you saw Ground Zero and went to Ellis Island, etc?
Did you get to see the Waldorf? And stop to stare at the Marriott across the street where I stayed? ;)
We were at Ground Zero at 9:11 Friday night...That was chilling. My friend was there on The Day, and saw it all from the first hit. He still cries.
We took the Staten Island ferry and saw Lady Liberty and took photos of that and Ellis Island; we went to the Dakota, to Central Park, to Lincoln Center, and I can't remember what else...Every day, we went somewhere eat. We covered a lot of ground....
