As they say, it ain't the heat . . . it's the humidity!

95 percent plus humidity is totally enervating. You can't sweat and you can't move. If it's hot but not too humid you can get along . . . dry heat is somehow more bearable, at least to me . . .

Summer starts in May. Ends in October. Winter runs from about the second week of December to late January, early February.

The average last day of frost in Houston is about February 14. Everybody goes out and prunes their roses then.

Yes, the temp is going down a little, but the humidity is still high.

We do have high humidity here (I think about 40%...), at least in comparison to places like Arizona or Nevada - but we don't notice it unless there's heat.

Summer starts in June, can last til September - April can be as warm as the Summer months over here.

Yes, and yesterday was a perfect day for me...101 and 7%.

Today is as ugly as it gets. For me, anyway.

7% humidity with heat would feel very strange to me - I couldn't imagine such dry heat.

Very humid here today (thunderstorms perpetually threatening but not arriving - at least not yet) but only in the high 70s - around 25C, rather cool for early June in these parts.

It's like a sauna...dry and hot. I love it.

Who doesn't, I guess.

Do you have plans for Saturday? Or are you having a quiet weekend?

Temperatures are much nicer where I live now...only July and August are really hot (but then I think any temp over 50 and under 85 degrees is comfy, for the most part.)

People around here are amazed at how little I run the air conditioner in the summer.

I suppose I'll go lake fishing for a whil tomorrow - I haven't fished since my injury.

And, I'm going sea fishing on Monday (it's a bank holiday).

Air conditioners are very rare over here.

I would think...like at my Brother-in-law's in the Seattle area.

But I learned to sleep in weather where it never gets below 80 degrees for months...I have done it without a/c too, but it's considered essential by most people down that part of the country....

It'll hit 100+ here a few days this year probably...those days I will run the A/C....
