sorry but this is the first over 60 post thread ive seen in a 4 days that didnt already have something about illegal immigrants on it and i couldnt resist :-)

I saw this one this morning.....the schools can make their own decisions and policies when it comes to what the kids can bring on to the "campus." Soda and gum are 2 of the things kids at my daughter's elemenary school are not permitted. Along with alcohol and tobacco.
Well I'm not a student, and I tend to do my shopping prior to picking my daughter and her friend up from school....that usually means there is soda, gum/candy, alcohol and tobacco on "campus," because they are all in my car. Oh and I generally tend to be chewing a piece of gum when I walk in the building :)
All gum at schools belongs under the desks.

I actually a highschool student in this school district, and when when I heard about this, I was so angry and disgusted with the superintendent.
It was a running joke for quite some time, even among teachers.
Also, Lower Burrell is a small town school. A "hick town", as some might call it.
I'm glad they got those "jolters". They're so much more of a nuisance than those adorable little stoners.
