Ok, Guys, We just acquired a 7week old Red Tabby male, Looks pretty much like this guy
(Snagged this from Google)
Let'er fly gang !!!
LOL!!
I think you are referring to Fezik.
Now imagine a window right above your headboard and a bird landing on the windowsill at 5:30.
Champagne.
Shamp, for short
Must tell you I'm very taken with your cat. What a cutie! Looks very much like a female we had years ago. Her name was Blue (I didn't name her, thank you). Is your cat a powerhouse, smarty pants, sweetheart? Ours was. I miss her still.
He's a lovey boy most times, with a big streak of playful troublemaker.

Sounds right to me! Most of the time our three Siamese males look and act like absolute, cuddley little angels. Then for reasons unbeknownst to us, they throw it into high gear and blitz around the house like maniacs. And that includes, at least in part, the elder of the three who lost his vision last year. Figure that one out.
You 'spose they receive 'Party Hearty' signals from another planet? Some imperceivable thing is going on that sets them off. Wish they'd tell us but they won't. Cats are funny that way.
an "outdoor" cat ? >>>>> Splat
If your cat is a harmless little fuzzball, name it Rush Limbaugh.
LOL! I think that explains it very nicely.
Second, although cats need to be treated with respect, there's nothing wrong with using nicknames as terms of endearment. But don't go overboard. "The Spookster" is fine, but "My fuzzy wuzzy muzzy snuggums" is over the line.
I don't think he looks like a Kosmo. Hobbes, maybe. Or perhaps Rush. It's not really possible to say without a sense of the little guy's character.
It kinda has a chickeny look to its face so I would name it after me: Chickensoup!
"First of all, you need to recognize that your job is not to give your cat a name, but rather to discover its name....be open to the possibility that your first guesses may be wrong."
My best cat of all time went through several names. Night-rate (we got him as a mouser for our messenger service), Nixon ('cause my brother said he was a loser), Nixie, and finally Norman, or Normie. He was a great cat, but any kitten that ever lived with him never really grew, we used to say Normie stole all their growth hormones, cause he was pretty large.
I miss that cat every single day.
Just make sure you name him something from which you can derive LOTS of silly nicknames. Mine have many silly names and they tolerate it. ;-)
Ive always allowed them to name themselves.
That's a lovely name for a cat!
I was just thinking that photo looks a bit like the Golden Snitch looked as a kitten. The Golden Snitch isn't quite as hard to catch as the book would suggest--I think he too much likes being scratched behind the ears.
