Authorities are trying to determine why a 1993 Ferrari Testarossa crashed and overturned this afternoon near Agoura Hills, killing two people.
CHP Officer Leland Tang says there weren't any witnesses and the details aren't known.
The crash occurred shortly after 3:20 Tuesday afternoon on Cornell Road, near Muholland Drive.
Evidence at the scene indicated that one of the men killed in the crash may have been an off-duty CHP officer, sheriff's Lt. Phil Brooks told the Los Angeles Times.
Lt. Richard Hanna of the Los Angeles County Department of Coroner said early this morning that there was a "security hold" on the case and the names or ages of the two men would not be immediately released.
Actress Morgan Brittany of "Dallas" heard the crash.
"I heard it coming. I heard the engine revving high,” Brittany said. "I just braced myself" and hoped there was no one coming the other way.
The victims' identities have not been released.

CHP Officer Derek Midollo, 39, and his passenger, David Bjorklund, in his 30s, died at the scene, CHP Officer Leland Tang said.
I don't know about the roads up there these days or Cornell Rd, but there used to be some great roads for racing along Mulholland Dr. Of course the best ones were Coldwater and Laurel Canyons back in the day!!
