Authorities are trying to determine why a 1993 Ferrari Testarossa crashed and overturned this afternoon near Agoura Hills, killing two people. Too much car, too little driver would be my first guess. The V12 Ferraris are notorious for being anything but forgiving.

In an astonishing coincidence, Testa Rossa is eye-talian for... your screen name.

One question comes to mind. How does a CHP officer (if in fact it was an off-duty CHP officer driving) afford a Ferrari Testarossa? The insurance alone must cost a fortune!

There are car wrecks in that canyon area that date back to the silent film era.

A "security hold."? Now that sounds interesting. It might be enlightening to determine who actually owned the car. Was it the driver or his passenger? Is it possible the car was the property of a drug dealer confiscated and impounded under asset forfeiture policies, and a couple of officers decided to take it for a joyride?

Maybe some poor er rich sap had it confiscated by the po-lice, and the vehicle was just taking up space down at the station. /cynicism

When I was stationed at Vandenburg AFB, I couldn't resist going down to LA and cruising Muholland Drive. I could imagine the crashes that have taken place there. Didn't Jan from "Jan and Dean" crash in the same area? My drive through there was much slower. I had a restored 1950 Pontiac Silver Streak that was a cruiser, not a racer. :-)

Maybe he IS a rich sap that doesnt need to work so he became a CHP officer for fun.

Testa Rossa? Doesn't that mean Red Onions?

Gee, I wonder if speed was a factor??? I think the sudden stop was even more of a factor.

Doesn't that mean Red Onions? Dunno, my understanding was Testarossa was Italian for "read head", as the valve covers on the TR's V12 were painted bright red.

BTW, what's she got on her feet anyway? Did the basement flood? Most likely those are some style of Uggs.
They've been a very popular boot that last couple winter seasons. However, I don't know why that woman would be wearing a pair now. They're warm boots to be worn in colder temps.

Looks like an airplane crash.

I'm guessing she was barefoot when she heard the crash and jumped into the closest footwear as she ran out the door. Either that or I'm, as usual, way behind in my fashion sense!

RE: Your pic.
There must have been somebody important in the vehicle, note the two people saluting.

The before picture is gorgeous. The after picture is Ferrari meth mouth.

That pile of car that was totaled due to intended acceleration is still probably worth 30K.
