But Apple DESERVES to be sued....whether or not this guy does it. The Nano was just another sign of declining quality of hardware in Cupertino (it started with the clamshell iBook fit-and-finish problems, and continues today with the black Macbooks, with enamel that peels off the first day you take it home.)....

Once upon a time, Apple was as much known for the highest quality in hardware. No one can say that's true anymore with a straight face. Now their hardware is as craptacular as any of the PC manufacturers, and more so than some of them. I've used every modern Apple product save for the power macs, and all have gone downhill in terms of fit, finish, and feel compared to past models. This was mitigated by Apple's excellent customer service (replacing all of those iBooks mainboards is a great example of Apple doing right by their customers), but now they don't even try to go that far. They had to have known about the Nano problems. And now staff at Apple Stores are embarrassed to show customers the black macbooks because of the enamel issue. That tells me that Apple knows what's going on, and they're trying foist this stuff on the public anyway.

Sorry, but Cupertino needs a wakeup call on this, and unfortunately, the prospect of paying out on a lawsuit is likely the only thing that will get their attention.

The Nano screen and case were made of no different material than all the other iPods... and the scratches were generally from abuse.

The Black MacBook problem has not been duplicated anywhere... and the person who posted the complaint did not own one.
