Sounds like a fine idea. I would also include Child Abuse under this law.

These are crimes that we as a society find repugnant in the extreme and once an accusation is made public an exoneration is only a partial stain remover.

Agreed. Greatly exacerbated by the fact that an acquital is not an exoneration, nor is it intended to be.

An acquital is merely a statement by the jury that the evidence was inadequate to convict. In essence, it is exactly the same thing as Specter's famous Scottish law verdict of "not proven."
