Britney Spears' child-care techniques seem to be growing positively "Toxic" - she nearly dropped her 8-month-old son on his head yesterday as she tottered out of a posh Manhattan hotel with a glass in one hand and the tyke in another. The baby-bobbling bungle began at about 6 p.m., as the "Not That Innocent" pop tart left the Ritz-Carlton Hotel on Central Park South, holding her kid, Sean Preston, and what witnesses said was a tumbler of water and ice (photo, far left).
While heading to a car, her long pants appeared to get tangled in her open-toed shoes (inset, far left) just as she stepped past a pothole, witnesses said.
Then - oops! - Britney started to tumble. Sean Preston's head whipped back in what a witness called a "violent manner," his chubby arm swung up and his little hat went flying off .
"Her bodyguard had some good reactions," an onlooker said of the quick catch . "[He] grabbed the baby before he hit the floor."
Despite the tumble, Britney managed not to spill a drop of her drink. Then she muttered to fotogs in her Louisiana accent, "This is why I need a gun."
The incident left her clearly shaken up - afterwards she was seen in tears at FAO Schwarz (right inset).

Thanks for the link to the photos. Says a lot.
Her bodyguard came to the rescue and caught the baby. Her bodyguard is her "gun."
"This is why I need a gun" = this is why I have strong, stable, sober people around me.

What's "Britney Spears"? Is it like asparagus spears? I like asparagus spears.

Very much like that. Both make your pee smell funny.

Huh... what?
It is not. You can find the same photo of Britney smoking before she was pregnant. The belly and tattoo were photoshopped.
Whether she smoked while she was actually pregnant, I don't know.
Thanks for that clarification.
That's so funny you should say that. My sister did the same thing and she covered her face so thick with it - all you could see were the whites of her eyes. My mom snapped a picture and when my sister began her freshman year I took the picture to school and mortified her. I guess that just goes to show what goes around comes around!
Not only that, I'd had the baby (and his brothers and sisters) out campaigning at the polls the whole previous day!
The glass I was holding was empty, but it wasn't mine, so I'd have felt bad about breaking it.
You know, I'd hate to hijack a thread and all but I think it was you I saw mention this on another thread. When you talk about "Undead" are you talking about S.S.? Is he a neck sucking ladies man?
And we all know her name......why? Because even God must have a sense of humor.
Is she on televion or something?
I have no sympathy for her because she's mentally defective - I wouldn't go strolling through a hotel lobby with my baby in one arm and a GLASS/drink in the other, because all people with common sense know that stuff happens -- you have much less ability to respond to a stumble (or to onrushing photographers, etc. when you're a celebrity) if you have no free hand to help with your balance, protect baby, etc. That's just DUMB.
Yep, glass or baby and I would just have to buy another glass.
Heck, she's already broken the poor baby's skull once. But we can all rest easy knowing that she managed to at least save her drink. 8-(
Good to the very last drop.
No, I'm talking about V.
