Anyone who is interested should read up on the history of American brewing and beer.

You'll see why most of today's big brewers brew the watered down faux-pilsners that they do for the mass markets. It all stared with capturing the female market during WWII....and went downhill from there...

In other words, if you believe your taste is not only different but also superior, you might be a snob.
