DURHAM, N.C. - An attorney for one of three Duke University lacrosse players charged with rape wants prosecutors to release evidence they’ve collected, including the cell phone logs and any criminal history of the accuser.
Reade Seligmann was due in court Thursday afternoon for his first appearance since his indictment last month. His attorney, Kirk Osborn, wants to use what would normally be a brief hearing to ask the judge for records complied by authorities during their investigation, as well as reduction in Seligmann’s bond.

I just watched the hearing carried live. Nifong laughed when Seligmann's attorney said Seligmann wants to go to college in the fall.

Is Durham that black that hanging a few white kids will ensure Nifong has a lifelong government job/pension? Either that or this is the beginning of White Backlash, i.e. 'To Kill a Mockingbird' with the races reversed.
Nifong indeed laughed at Seiligman's lawyer. Very arrogant, but also from what we know, very realistic. Nifong seems to know this trial is a long way from beginning.
Seligman's lawyer seems very worried the police will "lose" important evidence. Nifong said he doesn't have the "victim's cell phone", the police have it. Seligmn's lawyer is very worried about that phone being tampered with. We've all seen enough Law and Orders to know the cops and the DA work together to thwart the defense. "Hide the phone" scam = yeah, stuff like this happens.
Something I didn't know. This phone, and her purse, as well as the fake fingernails were turned over to the cops when they came asking questions. The alleged victim left the phone and purse on the ground in the yard.
Nifong turned over 1200 pages of evidence, CDRoms, tape, etc., to the defense. The Court TV reporter was surprised by this, but at this point we don't know if this is a useless document dump or not, with Nifong with holding anything really important. For certain, Nifong didn't turn over anything exculpatory.
Seligman looks like a baby sitting there. Very clean cut, ver young.
In my opinion by just listening to the news, etc., I think there is probably a history of Durham and Duke in general. I'm sure the local police have run into problems many times with students drinking, partying, etc. Most of the local blacks attend the college that the AV attended and there must be huge tension all the way around. Nifong has used the racial thing to incite the black community. He is a very stupid, unsophisticated, dangerous person. The reason I say dangerous is because he has gotten the likes of the New Black Panthers involved (a racist hate group), the Sharptons, Jacksons of the world. If this thing doesn't end up THEIR WAY, Nifong will have an all out riot down there and that is dangerous! I have never seen a more desperate person in my life. The end for him won't be pretty.
Note to Nifong's voters: Hope you folks are proud of yourselves. You picked a real winner there, all right.

Durham also has a history of black radical politics. The school board for instance has often had some real out of control people on it.

I hope that they go after Nifong after this whole travesty is over. I hope the accused players file false prosecution charges, at the very least.
Reminds me of Wendy Murphy, too. Isn't she billed as a former prosecutor?
Last Friday Murphy could hardly contain her glee as she "bet" (based on her contacts inside Nifong's office, presumably) that a lacrosse player named "Dan" would be indicted the following Monday.
Wendy sorta lost that bet. It turned out to be a David, not a Dan, who was indicted.
But she did get her malicious wish, didn't she? --that yet another lacrosse player and his family would now be put through absolute Hell.
God save us from these ideology- and ambition-driven prosectors...

New Black Panther Party thug yelled at RS on his way into court today, "Justice will be served, rapist." Also, according to Greta, he yelled out that he was, "dead man walking."
I hope they go after Nifong NOW. I see no point in waiting until more damage is done.
That turns my stomach. How vicious and vindictive is this man? It's incredible. I think if I were one of this young man's parents, I would have a hard time maintaining my composure in his sorry presence.
He should have been arrested.
This should be magnified by the media, and of course it won't, because there is a foreign group come to town making threats to these guys.
But it;s also great fodder for a change of venue.
