You cancel your cell phone service as soon as the police have it because it is out of your control and if not found by the police yet, lost. Who wants to pay for a cell you no longer have and you know will be evidence and you wont get it back for some time?

I think even if assaulted someone might do that. However if injured by a broomstick, one might not be calling around and changing cell phone service?

Well, if I was assualted and raped by three men, I don't think cancelling my phone would be my first priority.....I bet the phone belonged to her boyfriend/pimp....or whatever!

I doubt Crystal or Kim wanted the cops taking incoming calls, LOL!

Most cell phones are free or greatly reduced when you sign up... you don't get a $300 pre-paid cell phone at WalMart, usually...

When I lose a cell phone I have the service frozen until I can get a new phone and have the service moved to it.. If you cancel your service before the contract period expires, you normally have to pay full price for the phone plus early cancellation fees...

I've (my kids) lost many phones and we never cancel the service.. just have it put on vacation for a day or so...

There's something fishy about this deal... but what else is new...
