Haha! Well i sure do like your quality of writing! Very entertaining...Now let's clear something up. My poor quality of writing is in fact because English is my second language. As for the book, i didn't read Da vinci code yet, only "angel and demons" (some kind of prequel to the current subject) and in french. It is not suppose to make a difference but the emotions were actually more detailed...But in da vinci code, from the numerous people who enjoyed it while not being complete dumb a*s, they told me the plot was of much more interest than it's writing quality...So that's my point, it is your choice to base your conclusions on the quality of writing but it is not the only thing to look after in a book, there is also the story itself! The only way you can get an opinion of yours is by reading the book and go and see the movie!
Best regards.

Now you're making me feel bad for being a bit snotty! I'll stop that now.
I'm sorry, but if I don't like the quality of the writing in a book, I can't get past it. I just feel like my time would be better spent reading something written by a writer who is skilled at his craft.
This really only applies to novels, which I tend to read with the intention of being impressed by the craft and skill of the storyteller. If I'm reading an autobiography or something, I can concentrate more on the story being told than on the manner in which it is written.
