I really think people are making a bigger deal out of this than is justified. If someone decides to take the word of Dan Brown (I think that is his name) over the Holy Bible, then they obviously aren't interested in the truth anyway.
Absolutely, I read the book a couple of years ago, didn't spend any money on it borrowed it, I found it a entertaining thriller but that is all. I am dumbfounded that it is still a top seller, I figured everyone would have found someone with a copy of book by now. Won't see the movie however.
Well yes and no. When you see sheep being lead to slaughter, you should try to give them a warning.
Your post makes the point that those who would leave their faith as a result of seeing this movie, aren't devoted to their faith in the first place.
Absolutely true, as regards mature and reasonable adults watching the film. I fear for kids being unduly influenced.
I agree. I really don't think so many have knotted their knickers this tight over a novel since Uncle Tom's Cabin. (unless you want to consider The Satanic Verses by Rushdie)...

I am inclined to agree with you. The people involved with making this movie welcome the controversy, as protesting gives it more publicity.
Wow. A whole 9 posts before the obligatory "if your swayed by a movie you really had no faith to begin with" comment. What took you so long?
MSM is trying to pick fights with believers by baiting celebrities with stupid questions. Believers should know their bibles and be able to confront the lies in this movie. Yes this book is fiction but a good percentage of people in the United States will not be able to sort between fiction and half truths weaved within this movie. These same people are allowed to vote. YIKES!!
