ABC will tackle prime-time college football next season.
ABC Saturday Night College Football will feature showdowns between top football programs at 8 p.m. ET.
Notre Dame kicks off the 12-week season Sept. 2 at Georgia Tech followed by Ohio State at defending national champion Texas the next week.
Commentator Brent Musburger will be the play-by-play voice with Bob Davie as the analyst. They will be joined by ESPN College GameDay and ESPN College Football Thursday prime-time analyst Kirk Herbstreit on certain weeks. Lisa Salters, an NBA sideline reporter and general assignment correspondent for multiple ESPN news outlets, will report from the sidelines.

The worst things about television - too much Katie Couric and way too much Notre Dame.

That's only if you watch NBC though, although Couric will not be in CBS..... :)
I can handle one or two Notre Dame games, so long as they aren't on NBC.
I'm amazed that ABC was able to pry one Notre Dame game loose this year.

Well NBC only gets the ND home games.

NBC sucks and their announcing team is the WORST out there (it even eclipses Jackson and Fouts)

I play the Bill Clinton Drinking Game. Everytime X42 says "I" or "Me" in a speech, you have to take a shot, or a sip of beer. I did it for his farewell speech, and was blasted within 10 minutes. ;^)

Oh Boy Brent Musburger!! /sI know why you say that. Back when Major Applewhite was playing for my Longhorns(Hook 'Em), he was calling a game and when applewhite stepped out onto the field, he bellowed "And here comes the Quarterback. They call him "The Major". Ever since then I have been making fun of everything Mustblunder has said. Anything and everything. He makes an ass out of the players as well as the NCAA. Same thing with the NBA. Water retaining buffoon.

Actually the SEC is pretty much locked into a CBS or ESPN game on Saturdays....
CBS won't allow the premiere match-ups to leave their network for a night game on ESPN and the night games that are already on ESPN aren't considered as big as the other matchups.....
That's all it is.
