I guess it is possible he was set up...but I'm voting for either stupid or assumed bulletproofness.

I don't think he was setup, I think he made some poor decisions, and that was why he was booted off the team long before now.

I'm just waiting to hear somebody on TV say "he turned to drugs because UT kicked him out or Mack Brown kicked him off the team and wouldn't give him a National Championship ring". Anybody but Taylor will get blamed for this.

How long ago was he kicked out? Did he play in the title game?
