He definitely wants the wall but he just cited some poll that a majority of Americans are against the wall.

I think the word "wall" is the problem. We'd actually build a set of two fences with a ditch in the front. I think if people saw this type of "wall" then they'd be for it.

Wall is not a problem word for me, but I see your point--words matter and the touchy feely crowd (or the claustrophopbic sensitive) need words that make them feel nice. Security fence with ports of entry?
