I agree...if he were serious then he would be rolling out what federal troops are available in CONUS to seal the border until such time a big wall was built and the Border Patrol was drastically increased in both size and firepower.

I have to say that even though I don't particularly like McCain, I am reading his book, Character is Destiny, with my oldest son and it's very good thus far. We've gotten through the first two chapters--Tomas More, Gandhi.

I've always tended to like Medved, since he devotes a lot of time to cultural issues. In fact, I bought his "50 Worst Films" and "Golden Turkey Awards" books when they first came out, and continued to follow him through the years. But, about four weeks ago, I caught his show, and he seemed to take a very positive view towards the McCain-Kennedy amnesty plan, and I frankly haven't been inclined much to tune in to his show since then.
