When did Bush arrive in New Orleans
Posted on 05/15/2006 8:41:04 AM PDT by weezel
I posted at another forum that Bush arrived in Nawlins on day 3, as claimed at Political Vanguard. Immediately, the liberal weenies jumped all over that, saying it is untrue. PV doesnt give any other link. Does anyone know, and have proof ?

And remember, looters were shooting at rescue helicopters. Not a nice place to fly into at the time. Also, my bigger question is, what could he have done if he did arrive the day after??

Hey, he is the President. He can snap his fingers and make everything better just like that.
I mean, he could have done what Jesse Jackson did: drive down in a huge tour bus for a photo-op and then wave at all the people stranded on the side of the road as he drove away again.

then wave at all the people stranded on the side of the road as he drove away again.
Which proves the point that those people were not stranded due to some magical piece of equipment that was off in Iraq but were stranded because there was no place for them to go.

Bush flow over New Orleans on Tuesday. He visited Alabama on Friday of that week. I dont think he got to New Orleans until Saturday or Sunday. Try Google or get the new book by Doug Brinkley called The Deluge. He pointed out that Bush didnt visit NO until the end of the week. He believes that if Bush had come earlier, he wouldnt have caught so much flack. He credits Nagle as being a total failure.

I heard Air Force One trying to make contact with Nagin during this fly over via shortwave...I dont believe it was successful.
>>>He flew by on Air Force One to look at New Orleans two days after the hurricane

I was looking at the guy on the far right in your posted pic. That's sad. There was a time when Billy Blanks was on top of the world.
