Of course they didn't! You only have to have one son in the house these days and and you know that most are still cut from the same cloth -- good, sturdy, All-American and wears like iron. I know, even though he was an only child, our house was the Church of the Open Door for all the kids -- at least that's what my family teased me with. I never spent a weekend alone for a decade and a half. I washed their clothes, tucked them in, cooked their meals, mended their uniforms, made sure there were plenty of sodas in the fridge and Nana baked cookies (sometimes on request for favorites). My food budget was never under control. I have so many stories of such apple-pie charm -- maybe I'll write a book someday. We still laugh at some of the more outlandish ideas they came up with, though we never let them see the smiles.

That's what I would think. Wonder if they said anything like this to Crystal and she got mad, being that she was just a single mother trying to support her two children.
