Duke Lacrosse DNA: Mystery Man Revealed (Accuser's Boyfriend!!!)
ABC News ^ | 13 May 06 | CHRIS CUOMO, GERRY WAGSCHAL, CHRIS FRANCESCANI and LARA SETRAKIAN

May 13, 2006 — The second round of DNA test results in the Duke University rape investigation show "no conclusive match'' to any lacrosse players, defense attorneys said, but a vaginal swab of the alleged rape victim produced DNA from a "single male source'' — a man not on the lacrosse team who did not attend a March 13 party that was the site of the alleged rape.

Joe Cheshire, a defense attorney for Duke University lacrosse players at the center of a rape investigation, said the latest tests show no conclusive match to any of the lacrosse players' DNA. (ABC News

Defense attorney Joe Chesire declined to identify the mystery man or his connection to the alleged victim, but ABC News' Law and Justice Unit has learned that the unnamed source of the DNA is the alleged victim's "boyfriend," according to her mother.

ABC News is withholding the name of the man because he is apparently not a target of the investigation. Records indicate that Durham, N.C., police gave the "boyfriend'' a cheek swab to collect DNA on May 3, ABC News' Law and Justice Unit has learned exclusively.

It is unclear if or how the first DNA tests missed what appears to be the only foreign genetic material found on the alleged victim's body, defense attorneys said. Two Duke lacrosse players were indicted more than two weeks before the cheek swab was taken from the "boyfriend."

It is also unclear whether the alleged victim had sex with the "boyfriend" the night she claims to have been raped by three Duke lacrosse players. DNA experts tell ABC News that genetic traces of semen can remain in the body up to six days after intercouse.

Thank you, TexKat. The case gets smellier and smellier. Now the "object focus" is upon the boyfriend. I'm sure you recall in the early threads -- we were all beating down the doors to find out WHY he was excluded from any manner of inquiry.

If a wife is murdered, no matter where or how, the husband is always a "suspect of inquiry". Why wasn't the "boyfriend"? He wasn't. We learned all about CGM's family (except her children); friends, other relatives -- adults who were intimately close to her. But NOT the "boyfriend". He was an "entity".

I smell a cover-up. And like I did with the Duke boys, I'm saying the boyfriend might be "innocent until proven guilty" -- until more hard evidence is revealed.

I wanna know who IS hiding in the shadows behind Nifong masterminding this case; directing it. And why.

If its the boyfriend, then it's the boyfriend. But my hunch tells me there's another shoe to yet drop.

Don't forget that Nifong had the cab driver arrested on an old and unrelated charge. There were two attorneys on Sean Hannity's show who both agreed Nifong was trying to intimidate the cab driver because his testimony would be devastating to the prosecution.

Actually, Jezebel speculated that it was Mangum's "boyfriend" from the very beginning.

Are you saying that Jezebelle said that in the beginning of the trial and if so, please post a link.

If you are saying that she said that in her first posts on FR, then you should look at the timelines...she didn't join until the middle of April when the story was well under way.

They cannot even prove that there was even a crime committed at the house. That the nurse said the condition of the dancer was consistent with rape is also saying that the condition of the dancer was consistent with consensual sex.

Mere days after the story broke, I did post that Mangum is a family name shared by both blacks and whites. Often times the black slaves took the last name of their plantation masters. Sometimes, it was because of a direct bloodline.

Also early on, in what I refer to as the "graveyard diggings" by Freepers, it was obvious that properties in wills were bequeathed to both black and white.

Since arriving in NC, I've been junketing around graveyards and civil war sites. I've learned so much that I never knew before about the South. There's a rich shared history here.

So to yours, whether or not that, in reference, is her bloodline relative or an "adopted" name in the long past is unknown. North Carolina had some of the very first black-owned and run plantations, and cooperatives between blacks and whites.

I've found some very poor whites sharing the same last name with some very wealthy blacks.

The South is rich with history.

In Durham, there are white and black Mangums. A major street in Durham is named "Mangum". Through my digging I did not detect animous family brawls (Hatfield/McCoy types) between those sharing the same last name.

But instead, I do indeed detect one heck of a power struggle between the marxists and those who are trying to uphold a civil government. Both elements are within the Durham mainframe.

At one point in the election cycle Nifong said he was working hard to ensure that a Black Person would one day be named as DA. In this very election cycle. And Nifong was running against Freda Black and a Black Candidate.

This told me the current black candidate did not fit the mental mold that Nifong would like to see in office, perhaps? Or...

was Nifong possibly suggesting something bad about the Black Candidate's character? Hmmmm? I still can't believe that semen we are now JUST hearing about wasn't already detected.

Maybe she had some of that $25,000 left over that she embezzled. That would pay for a nice suit and a makeover.

I'm wondering if "boyfriend" belongs to the Frat referred to in xoxoxo's posts

Hmmm... now that's a question to certainly look into.

Come up with the quotes. Another poster found one without difficulty.

Actually, I'm quite curious about the sources of this information ~ and with a simple reference to just "lacrosse" and "rape" giving me 2.1 MILLION hits on google.com, it's not like it's possible to track these things down.

You do understand, of course, there's nothing personal in this.

There are posts in various early threads (when the photos came out) that people saw bruises on the woman when she showed up to "dance" or whatever it is strippers do in a small room with 47 other people.

There are some discussions about that possibly being a source of concern on the part of the audience ~ a beaten up stripper is hardly the entertainment expected (although I wouldn't know from personal experience ~ maybe guys who hire strippers like them beaten up or something although that's doubtful).

>>Regarding enigmatic mystery posters such as Hugs-n-Kisses:

Please, never underestimate the pleasure some people get in yanking others' chains.

There are a lot of people who have nothing better to do than eff with Freepers.<<

That's what I first thought. And I cracked up when some of the Freepers responded with nursery rhymes. But you gotta admit that the Hugs-n-Kisses clues gained some credibility with this DNA match to a "boyfriend."

Yeah, and you'll see that I joined not long after her. We got the boot from another message board for using "boyfriend/pimp." Sorry, no link. Those posts were long ago deleted.

"Loflin called the larceny charge "entirely frivolous." He said it was "striking and surprising" that two principal investigators in the lacrosse case served the warrant instead of the usual lone uniformed officer.

"Detectives don't serve warrants unless it's a murder or something extremely serious," Loflin said. "This is the first case I know of where that has happened, in Durham at least."

I don't remember EVER seeing a broom, or broomstick in any of the evidence collected.

I don't remember our frat having a broomstick. We usually cleaned the house with a shovel.

But what would that have to do with this case? An interesting tidbit at best. And why be cryptic about it?
