That's what I read also :) BUT maybe she didn't want to and this is what was causing her weird behaviour that night - holding on to the gas pedal etc and the night she freaked out at a "dance" tryout at a club (under the table and nto wanting to come out). But it's almost unimaginable that the first DNA tests came back negative for semen. If defense attorneys got the first analysis back from Nifong's office instead of from the lab, however, he could have removed the section which talked about semen presence which DIDN'T match the players is the scenario I'm picturing.

That is likely because at the time of the first tests Nifong was not under rules of discovery. He could have kept portions of the report from the defense.

When the first DNA results were anticipated, I read that under NC law as soon as the results came in they had to be given to the DNA donor. I wonder if Nifong broke the law by leaking the results before the defense had them, or failing to provide the defense with the complete report showing the semen match the first time?

Square that with her having been beaten up earlier, or is this woman simply very unlucky.
